I am entomologist. My research focuses on plant-arthropod interactions, emphasizing the use of semiochemicals for pest management, pollination enhancement, and crop protection. I integrate ecological insights to develop innovative solutions for integrated pest management, biological crop protection in healthy farm ecosystems. A key aspect of my work involves studying invasive insect species and connecting chemical ecology with effective solutions.
I am deeply interested in exploring the complex interactions among soil, plants, insects, and especially pollinators and natural enemies. My current research at NIOO aims to devise new strategies for optimizing biocontrol and improving the learning behavior of natural enemies.
My expertise lies in the chemical characterization of pheromones and other semiochemicals of plants, including pests and beneficial organisms. I also investigate stress-related chemical signaling in plants and invertebrates. Furthermore, I explore the use of pheromones and semiochemicals in pest management and ecological management of beneficial organisms.
