Vegetation Type Deciduous forest, some plots have pine and spruce, dense hazel undergrowth. Trees mostly oaks and ashes. Several plots are open hay meadows with sparse oak growth.
Description of study site GREAT TIT: Approx. 15 to 20 (depending on years) discrete patches surrounded by fields or pastures, located on an isthmus - see suppl. mat. in Doligez et al. 2009 Proc. R. Soc. B and Morinay et al. 2018 Front. Ecol. Evol.
