Poornima is an Environmental Engineer from India. She holds an MSc degree in Hydroscience and Engineering from Technische Universität Dresden, Germany, and a BE degree in Environmental Engineering from Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering, India. In 2019, she joined the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University, as a PhD candidate and was part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks project ECORISK2050. She is particularly interested in understanding the drivers of global change related to water resources and utilizes analysis-based scenario approaches in her research. Currently, she is working as a Postdoc on the project "Re-thinking the role of water in climate-robust landscapes".
