I am curious about the transformation of agriculture towards a more sustainable and circular future and am particularly interested in the carbon and nitrogen dynamics in organic soil amendments.
After a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences at the University of Greifswald, I focused on soil biology in my Master's degree at Wageningen University.
I am currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Microbial Ecology at the Netherlands Institute of Ecology (NIOO-KNAW) where I am working on the ClipsMicro project. My research focuses on optimizing the composting process with the addition of clay rich waste material. We are developing a targeted management strategy to make agriculture on sandy Dutch soils more sustainable and resilient.
