Op 15 december zal het symposium ‘Afbraak is afbraak’ plaatsvinden, over de afbraak van asbest, PFAS en andere schadelijke stoffen met behulp van microbiologie en planten. Uit 31 inzendingen voor de Huibregtsenprijs 2022 heeft de jury zes wetenschappelijke onderzoeksprojecten genomineerd. NIOO-onderzoeker Jos Raaijmakers is een van de genomineerden. Op de Avond van Wetenschap & Maatschappij, 10 oktober 2022, maakt de jury bekend wie de Huibregtsenprijs dit jaar wint.
