13th International Symposium on Earthworm Ecology (Engelstalig)

Evenement

The 13th edition of the International Symposium on Earthworm Ecology (ISEE13) will be hosted in Wageningen, the Netherlands. This edition's theme, "From the lab to the field, from the field to the lab," reflects the commitment to bridging experimental and real-world studies - both essential for advancing earthworm research. ISEE13 will provide a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, with a strong focus on early-career researchers who are at the forefront of addressing global challenges that impact, or are influenced by, earthworms.

Recognising the growing importance of science-society interactions, there will be emphasis on engagement between researchers and key stakeholders. Thus, in addition to fostering discussions with farmers, there will be collaborations with artists to explore diverse perspectives on earthworms and their role in this changing world. Join for an inspiring conference that connects science, practice, and creativity in the heart of Wageningen.

NIOO researcher Justine Lejoly is part of the committee organising this event, and Sam Bielen will present his research on 26 August during the excursion day of the symposium.
