I am a PhD researcher interested in the effect of extreme climatic events on lake ecosystem services and the implications on management. My research includes interdisciplinary approaches to studying pressures and engaging multiple sectors.


I have been a PhD researcher at the Netherlands Institute of Ecology since August 2017. My work has included a range of methods including microcosm studies, social science approaches (qualitative interviews and online surveys) and the development of two serious games. All of these studies are diverse in approach but aimed at understanding the implications of extreme climatic events on the provisioning of lake ecosystem services and the implications for management under a changing climate.
