We study the temporal aspects of aboveground and belowground interactions, which is an indispensable part of aboveground-belowground research. First, we will examine the effects of feeding of herbivores above and below ground on the variation of plant growth, plant defense and the development of insects over short time. Then, the temporal dynamics of herbivorous insets will be checked based on the attack of AG and BG herbivores over a growing season, and finally the effects of the plant-insect interactions on the succession of plant community will be recognized over a long time scales.
