Over the past few years, more and more species of flowers and plants have started to grow in the wild around the NIOO building.
Projects such as the green roof, the woven hedges, the food forest and the bee hotels have attracted even more 'guests'.
The latest addition to these projects is a small pond. It's already been frequented by ducks, crows and even barn swallows, which have been collecting mud pellets for their nests.
It all fits in perfectly with NIOO's aims of maximum biodiversity and giving back to nature as much as possible. And it's wonderful to look at too!
