The Living Deltas Hub brings together international researchers working in an interdisciplinary way and aiming to operationalize  the UN Sustainable Development Goals in river deltas across South- and Southeast Asia. The study regions are The Mekong and Red River deltas in Vietnam and the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna Delta in India and Bangladesh. Researchers on the Hub work together to find solutions to problems in this rapidly developing region which is at the frontier of climate change impacts.  Research in the NIOO is focusing on improving water quality monitoring, looking at delta ponds as socio-ecological systems and investigating nature-based solutions in delta regions.
