Using a large-scale in situ experiment with different management treatments (knowing as soil quality and health treatments), an intensive greenhouse gases monitoring approach, high throughput sequencing of soil microbial 16S rRNA gene, high throughput shotgun metagenomics and powerful statistical methods, we seek to identify in situ drivers of carbon and nitrogen-related processes that are bottlenecks in the improvement of sustainability of bioenergy crops.
