Fourth Symposium NCSE 2026: Building Resilient Soil Together
On 4 December 2026, the National Centre for Soil Ecology (NCSE) will host its fourth annual symposium. This time, the venue will be HAS green academy in ’s-Hertogenbosch, bringing together soil ecologists, researchers, students and professionals from across the Netherland. The event offers a unique opportunity to share knowledge, exchange ideas and strengthen collaborations within the soil ecology community.
This year's theme, 'Building Resilient Soil Together', highlights the vital role of healthy soils in creating sustainable and resilient ecosystems. The programme will feature keynote lectures by Matty Berg (VU Amsterdam) and Liesje Mommer (Wageningen University & Research), alongside oral presentations, poster sessions, workshops and networking opportunities.
Whether you are interested in the latest scientific developments or expanding your professional network, the NCSE Symposium is the place to connect with the Dutch soil ecology community. The National Centre for Soil Ecology (NCSE) is a virtual platform to connect soil ecologists in the Netherlands. NCSE is a grassroots initiative led by Dutch universities, research institutions and universities of applied sciences and is chaired by NIOO scientist Ciska Veen.
