I’m passionate about helping people do their bird ringing work as effectively and joyfully as possible.
At the Vogeltrekstation, I support ringers across the Netherlands so that together we can build high-quality data and a strong community for bird research.
Biography
As the coordinator of ringing activities at the Vogeltrekstation (NIOO-KNAW), I facilitate and support the national network of licensed bird ringers. My work focuses on supporting ringers, promoting good practices in fieldwork, and maintaining strong connections between volunteers, researchers, and institutions. Within Vogeltrekstation, I aim to encourage ringers to contribute to the monitoring of avian influenza, arboviruses, and other zoonotic diseases.
