My research focus is centered around understanding phytoplankton community dynamics with a specific focus on the formation of harmful algal blooms (HABs) in coastal waters.
Biography
In my current postdoc project, we want to develop a proxy to reconstruct past atmospheric CO2 concentrations based on the carbon isotope fractionation of fossil dinoflagellate cysts. My role is to determine the relationship in the 13C signal of vegetative dinoflagellate cells and their cysts.
