Biography
Under the name 'digital twinning' I focus on methodological issues in linking and sharing ecological theory, data and models and the way they are used in both fundamental scientific research and are applied for policy and decision support.
As executive manager of the LTER-LIFE infrastructure project (https://lter-life.nl/en) I work both with software developers creating virtual research environments within which you can open your virtual laboratory, and with ecologists sharing their own and continuing on other peoples data and models.
