Phosphorus limitation strongly affects the somatic growth rate, reproduction and survival of consumers.

P-limitation may affect zooplankton consumers not only through a stoichiometric mismatch but also via biochemical and morphological alterations in the phytoplankton.

This project studies the relative importance of the latter factors in reducing zooplankton performance.
